CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Akkodis is seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift for a Contract to Hire with a client in St. Louis, MO (Hybrid). You must have hands-on experience operating CNC mill and/or lathe machines, with the ability to read production drawings, interpret dimensions and tolerances, and perform precise in-process inspections .

Note: 2:45 pm - 1:15 am, Monday - Thursday

Rate Range: $18/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Job Responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate CNC mill and/or lathe machines according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure product quality.
• Monitor machine performance throughout production runs to maintain efficiency, productivity, and adherence to schedules.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production output.
• Read, interpret, and make minor modifications to CNC programs as needed to support production and quality requirements.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, maintain a clean work area, and ensure machines are properly cleaned and prepared before and after each shift.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical degree/certificate in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
• 5-8 years of CNC machining experience in a production manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret production drawings, determine dimensions and tolerances, and use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mill and/or lathe machines, with knowledge of cutting tools and quality inspection processes.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
