As an Armed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon06:30 AM - 03:30 PMTue06:30 AM - 03:30 PMWed06:30 AM - 03:30 PMThur06:30 AM - 03:30 PMFri06:30 AM - 03:30 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and assist with visitor management and campus traffic flow. Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to campus representatives and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. CPR/First Aid is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
