Director of Sales

Director of Sales – North & South America Arlemax is running a search for a Director of Sales on behalf of a privately held manufacturer in northeast Iowa. The company designs and builds engineered mechanical components sold to OEMs, with several hundred employees across multiple manufacturing sites and a global commercial footprint. This role owns commercial performance for the Americas. You report to the SVP, lead a team of four, and are accountable for revenue, margin, and share across the region. What you’ll own Revenue and profitability for North and South America A team of four: three market managers and a customer relations lead Key OEM accounts- depth across engineering, purchasing, and executive levels Regional pricing strategy and competitive positioning Product and account profitability, including corrective action when margins slip The annual sales plan, and input into corporate strategic planning You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations. A meaningful part of the job is making sure what gets built matches what the market will actually buy, which means you need enough technical fluency to hold your own in those conversations. What we’re looking for 8–12+ years in strategic sales, business development, or global account management Experience selling engineered or manufactured products to multinational OEMs A track record leading complex, cross-regional opportunities Real people leadership — you’ve built and managed a team, not just carried a number Comfort with pricing, cost structure, and margin analysis Details Location: Northeast Iowa, onsite.
