Position Overview

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) operates under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to execute personalized treatment plans aimed at helping residents attain their maximum level of independence and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions as specified in the resident’s care plan.
• Accurately document resident progress and treatment results in a timely manner.
• Share updates on resident status and therapy with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist residents in enhancing functional mobility, daily living activities (ADLs), and adaptive skills.
• Observe and report any changes in resident conditions.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Engage in care planning meetings and discussions with the therapy team.
• Uphold resident safety and dignity throughout all therapy sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
