Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Connecticut
• Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
• Demonstrated experience with assessments, intervention planning, and counseling in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEPs, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
• Excellent communication and consultation skills for working with students, teachers, and families
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
• Collaborate in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans
• Provide individual and group counseling for students addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges
• Partner with educators to design effective intervention strategies and foster inclusive classrooms
• Deliver crisis intervention and consult on mental health issues as needed
• Engage with families to communicate student progress and promote family involvement in the educational process
