Project Executive

Join a well-established construction contractor as the senior leader of its Richmond operations, overseeing project delivery, team leadership, client relationships, and office performance. This individual will play a critical role in stabilizing and growing the business while helping establish the office as a major profit center over the next several years. Description The Project Executive will be responsible for: Providing overall leadership and operational oversight for the Richmond office. Managing project teams including Project Managers, Coordinators, Superintendents, and field personnel. Driving profitability, revenue growth, and strategic market expansion within the region. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Overseeing project execution to ensure delivery of work that meets safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives. Collaborating directly with executive leadership and report to the senior management team. Supporting business development initiatives and helping expand market share, particularly within the data center sector. Recruiting, mentoring, and developing high-performing team members as the office continues to grow. Monitoring office performance metrics, backlog, forecasting, and resource planning. Establishing the Richmond operation as a self-sustaining, scalable business unit. Profile A successful Project Executive should have: Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Operations Manager, or similar construction leadership role. Strong background managing commercial construction projects and teams. Experience overseeing project financials, forecasting, budgets, and profit-and-loss performance. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and scale construction teams. Successful track record developing client relationships and generating repeat business. Experience working with negotiated projects and relationship-based delivery models preferred. Data center, mission critical, or large commercial project experience is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to help grow a regional business operation. Construction Management degree or relevant industry experience preferred, but not required.
