Expressive Therapist

Job Description Saint Luke’s Crittenton Children’s Center in South Kansas City, MO is seeking a well-rounded, passionate, responsible, and reliable Expressive Therapist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities Implement trauma‑informed and therapeutic activities to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well‑being of children receiving residential and hospital services. Work 8‑hour shifts (9 am – 5:30 pm) with occasional flexibility for weekend or evening hours. Create and implement therapeutic modalities consistent with treatment needs of children and adolescents. Serve clients in individual and group settings. Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary treatment team throughout all programs. Complete assessments and document behavior and progress in EPIC (electronic medical record). Co‑lead various therapy groups and activities such as music, recreation, and social events. Establish therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an expressive or related therapist. Knowledge of age‑appropriate mental health care needs of children and adolescents. Ability to intervene effectively in crisis situations. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
