We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery / Med-Surg Float for a 13-week contract in Lewistown, Montana. The RN will primarily provide Labor & Delivery and obstetric nursing care and must be willing and able to float to the Medical-Surgical unit when the OB unit is closed.

The position involves maternal and fetal monitoring, management of labor progression, assistance with deliveries, obstetric emergency response, postpartum education, and comprehensive nursing support for mothers and newborns.

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess labor progression, and promptly recognize changes requiring clinical intervention.

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery and obstetric nursing care while supporting safe outcomes for mothers and newborns.

• Administer medications, perform cervical examinations within scope of practice, and interpret fetal monitoring strips.

• Assist with vaginal and operative deliveries and provide postpartum education and emotional support to patients and families.

• Float to the Medical-Surgical unit when the OB unit is closed and provide nursing care according to unit and patient needs.

• Minimum 3 Years of Registered Nurse Experience Required; Labor & Delivery Experience Required.

• Current, Active Montana Registered Nurse License Required.

• Current BLS Certification Required.

• Current NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. Certifications Required.

• Ability and Willingness to Float to the Medical-Surgical Unit When the OB Unit Is Closed Required.
