Registered Nurse

The role involves providing patient care in a telemetry/step-down unit. The nurse will handle a patient ratio of 1:4-5. Candidates must have experience with cardiac telemetry and IV drip management. Required skills include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and wound care. Additional responsibilities encompass monitoring and interpreting dysrhythmias, managing chest tubes, and performing phlebotomy. This position requires floating within the service line as per facility needs. Nurses will be expected to work every other weekend. The daily census is approximately 32 patients. The unit offers interdisciplinary support from various health professionals. Patients may present with conditions such as CHF, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome, and pulmonary hypertension. Special procedures performed in the unit may include cardiac catheterization and echocardiograms. The facility prioritizes patient safety, and all required certifications must be obtained by the compliance deadline. Candidates must complete all pre-start modules as part of the onboarding process. This position aims to promote optimal patient recovery and education.
