Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED). This state-of-the-art facility manages a high volume of patient visits and is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation. The position involves treating a diverse patient population and assisting with boarding patients.

Job Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Assist in managing care for a variety of emergency cases.
• Coordinate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in department activities and initiatives to enhance patient care.

Job Requirements

• Current RN License in New York State.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel experience in an Emergency Department is necessary.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Work Schedule

This position involves rotating shifts with both day and night options as well as blocked weekends. Flexibility for floating, holidays, and on-call duties may be required based on unit needs.
