If you are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, excels at turning data into action, and is passionate about retail, we want to hear from you.Key job responsibilities- Own the complete P&L for your assigned category cohort, analyzing key financial metrics such as revenue, margin, and cost structures to make strategic pricing and selection decisions that drive top-line and bottom-line growth.- Lead complex, independent negotiations with vendor leadership (including C-suite stakeholders) to improve terms, secure new selection, and build lasting partnerships that support long-term category strategy.- Develop and execute 2–3 year category plans informed by market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights, identifying opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand building across your cohort.- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as finance, marketing, and product to clear blockers, align on priorities, and deliver scalable process improvements that raise the bar for operational excellence.- Leverage generative AI tools and deep-dive data analysis to diagnose business health, uncover root causes, and generate actionable recommendations that enhance the customer experience and category performance.A day in the lifeYou might start your morning reviewing category performance dashboards and preparing a narrative document for an upcoming business review with leadership. By mid-morning, you are leading a negotiation call with a strategic vendor, working through pricing and assortment opportunities. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
