Head of Talent Development and Succession About the Company Top-tier alternative asset management firm Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Talent Development and Succession, a strategic leader with a strong background in HR and organizational development. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and owning the firm's long-term human capital architecture, with a focus on designing and leading an enterprise-wide succession planning approach. This role requires the development of a forward-looking workforce planning model, ownership of the talent review process, and the creation of high-potential talent criteria. The Head of Talent Development and Succession will also be responsible for overseeing the design of leadership development programs and partnering with senior HR and compensation leaders to establish promotion standards and advancement criteria. Applicants for the Head of Talent Development and Succession role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of 12-18 years' of HR or organizational development experience, with at least 5 years' in a talent development or succession planning leadership position. Experience in alternative asset management, investment banking, or institutional investment is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing succession planning processes, facilitating talent reviews, and building leadership development programs. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to operate credibly alongside investment professionals and earn the trust of a demanding senior audience.
