School Nurse Opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license in California
• Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing preferred
• Strong knowledge of chronic illness management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizures)
• CPR and First Aid certification (required)
• Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced, changing environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the immediate health needs of students and staff
• Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic or acute conditions
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with confidentiality standards
• Provide health education to students, families, and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with outside healthcare when necessary
• Contribute to the development of a positive, safe, and supportive school environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.77 to $55.77. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
