The Business Operations Analyst II partners across Sales, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Finance to identify opportunities that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen business controls, and drive profitability. This role serves as a key contributor to strategic initiatives by analyzing business performance, optimizing processes, implementing operational best practices, and supporting data-driven decision-making. The analyst will play an integral role in helping the organization achieve its financial and operational objectives through continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Pay range for this position is $70K - $85K, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Finance teams to identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
• Analyze operational and financial data to uncover opportunities for margin improvement, expense reduction, and process optimization.
• Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements that enhance productivity, scalability, and consistency.
• Assist in the development, documentation, and enforcement of business controls, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
• Support vendor and supplier management activities, including spend analysis, performance evaluation, and savings opportunities.
• Develop business cases and financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
• Track, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, cost management, and profitability.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations that communicate findings, recommendations, and business impact.
• Ensure alignment between operational processes and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in business operations, financial analysis, procurement, sales operations, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience collaborating across multiple business functions and influencing stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred

• 4+ years of experience in business operations, financial analysis, procurement, sales operations, or a related analytical role.

• Experience with ERP, CRM, procurement, or business intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of vendor management, contract analysis, and cost optimization strategies.
• Experience developing dashboards and executive reporting.

• Office work environment: This position will work onsite at our Hunt Valley, MD office M - F
