The Business Data Analyst is responsible for taking large quantities of data and compile them into meaningful results, reports, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational abilities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while supporting business and client reporting needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect, organize, and analyze large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Filter, validate, and "clean" data from multiple sources.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations based on data analysis.
• Monitor data for trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues, escalating findings when appropriate.
• Assist in identifying root causes for data discrepancies and reporting anomalies.
• Support the creation and maintenance of client-facing dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Interpret data and communicate findings to business stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Evaluate current data analysis processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to gather reporting requirements and develop meaningful reporting solutions.
• Stay up to date on technologies and processes that can improve data analysis functions.
• Provide Excel training and support for other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

• Minimum associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, data analytics, or a related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to identify trends, exceptions, and data quality issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering, charts, and basic data analysis functions.
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge and experience querying data.
• Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources.
• Experience developing KPI metrics and operational reporting.
• Understanding of data validation and reporting best practices.
