Quick Facts Location: 401 West Poplar Street, Walla Walla, WA 99362 Start Date: 07/21/2026 End Date: Ongoing Shift: Variable (6a-4p, 8a-6p, 12p-10p, 3p-1a, 9p-6a) Hours/Week: 40-60 hours, based on shifts chosen Employment Type: Locum Tenens License/Certs: Active WA Medical License, DEA, Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) only Experience: Minimum 1 year of ER coverage preferred Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $1.00/hour (plus $25/hour incentive for confirmed night shifts) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick leave in compliance with state and federal laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Provide coverage for inpatient emergency medicine at a busy Level 3 trauma center Manage a patient volume of approximately 30,000 annually with board-certified ED staffing Cover shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours, including nights and days based on schedule Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, including tele-stroke physicians and cardiology services Document patient encounters accurately using EPIC EMR Participate in high-acuity emergency responses and trauma activations Ensure continuous high-quality patient care and efficient ED operations What You Need Active Idaho Medical License and DEA Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM only) Minimum 1 year of ER experience preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Ability to return privileges within 1-2 business days of application receipt About the Assignment This community-based ED in Walla Walla, Washington, is a modern, fast-paced environment with 22 beds and a patient volume of over 30,000 annually.
