The Associate, Agency Management role is part of the Agency Management group at Fifth Third and works predominantly on post-closing items for Agented Syndicated Loan deals. The primary focus of the role will be to track and lead the process involving financial deliverables and compliance certificates for deals where Fifth Third acts as Administrative Agent.

This role performs a wide range of analytical, tracking, and transaction due diligence functions in support of the ongoing, post-closing servicing of capital markets financing solutions across loan products. The qualified candidate will function in roles that include project management, compliance, and operational excellence while working closely with all capital market teams, industry verticals, middle market, and large-corporate teams. Requires highly skilled analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist deal team by engaging the Middle Office Closing Manager upon notification of new transactions in the pipeline
• Once deal is closed, onboard new clients by preparing the welcome package for the client with key contacts at Fifth Third and what the ongoing requirements of the Credit Agreement are, including reporting deliverables and key dates/timelines
• Manage multiple, competing priorities while working on a number of high priority deals simultaneously
• Manage the receipt of ongoing financial deliverables and compliance certificates from the client
• Maintain the Agency Management Portal – Track collection of client deliverables and follow up for receipt of all necessary documents while escalating when necessary, act as an Agent for change and drive process improvements
• Manage the deal site (SyndTrak) access for other lenders and post reporting and other documents to the site for lenders
• Assist Agency Services in term out of DLOCs and ensuring amortization schedules are established and client is invoiced for payment
• Tabulate lender votes on amendments to credit facilities
• As a more senior member of the group, act as a mentor and demonstrate leadership
• Communicate effectively with PMs, RMs, and deal team members on issues that arise with any deliverables or and take ownership on other projects as needed
• Develop proficiency in multiple relevant systems used by the team, including SyndTrak, Wall Street Office, Microsoft Office, ACBS, and others
• Perform additional duties as required

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required:

• 5-7 years of previous banking experience with background in Agency Services or Agency Management preferred
• Bachelor's degree with strong financial or business background
• Undergraduate level financial and managerial accounting course work preferred
• Strong analytical skills and an interest in corporate finance, deal servicing, and financial markets
• Must be familiar with and demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Agented Syndicated Credit Agreements and how to navigate/interpret those documents
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
