We encourage our team members to continuously seek knowledge, ask probing questions, and challenge conventional thinking to uncover innovative solutions that set us apart from the competition./ppResponsibilities and Expectations:/ppIPS is seeking a Technical Sales Representative focused on supporting our power distribution equipment resellers, contractors, and NETA service shops. This inside sales position generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts./ppKey responsibilities include:/pulliAssesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities/liliDevelops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations/liliCloses new accounts by answering telephone, fax and email inquiries, verifying and entering information/liliFills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date and explaining stock-outs/liliMaintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures/liliUpdates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities/liliAccomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job achievements/li/ulpQualifications and Competencies:/pulliAssociates degree from an accredited 2-year technical college preferred, focus on electrical power, or similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production or NAVY Seabee preferred)/liliBachelors degree in engineering or business, educational focus in technical disciplines also preferred/liliMust be able to work in office/lili2+ years power distribution equipment sales experience or 5+ years of technical sales experience in an industrial, production or large component environment/liliWorking knowledge of industrial mechanical engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, or diesel equipment beneficial/liliWorking knowledge of power systems, power circuit breakers and other switchgear apparatus preferred/liliPrefer experience reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams/liliMust have intermediate computer skills including email, internet, data entry and MS Excel; experience with CRM: NetSuite a plus/liliMust be willing to work flexible hours required to respond to client emergencies/li/ulpYoull thrive at IPS if you/pulliLead with integrity and prioritize safety.
