Office Based Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Child & Family Therapist (LCSW, LPC)

Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (child, family, adult) Position type: Part‑time to Full‑time (in office and remote; hybrid position). Licensed in the state of Virginia as an LPC or LCSW, with a desire to work with children and families. Strong preference for Registered Play Therapists or those with training in play therapy. MySpectrum offers outpatient counseling and coaching to children and adults, focusing on the Autism Spectrum, Substance Abuse Spectrum, Mental Health Spectrum, and Whole Life Spectrum. We are recruiting for an LPC or LCSW Therapist who specializes in play therapy, child therapy, and family therapy (with opportunity to balance the caseload with adult clients as well). The primary focus is with children and adolescents. We aim to serve clients who haven't otherwise found the right fit for therapy, reduce stigma, and provide a space where a therapist can grow an established client base. Some of the aspects of being in private practice that we will take care of for you: Credentialing with insurance carriers Billing (you get paid on a bi‑weekly basis regardless of if we do) Office space in a renovated building in North Chesterfield Marketing Use of an electronic health record for documentation of sessions Therapy tools (books, toys, etc.) Paid training Collaboration with other clinical professionals Flexible schedule; option to work hybrid (both in office and remote) with administrative support throughout the week Job Summary The Outpatient Therapist will provide therapy in an office and virtual setting. The standard caseload for full‑time therapists will be approximately 30 client sessions per week. We recognize the potential to take time to build a solid caseload and are willing to work with you on a part‑time basis until you become full‑time. MySpectrum will provide the tools necessary to deliver effective clinical services in a renovated office with a play/art room, room for groups, and administrative support. Responsibilities and Duties Provide outpatient therapy in standard 50‑60 minute blocks Complete assessments Complete treatment plans Complete progress notes Provide input about the best strategies, techniques, and services to help as many people as possible Be an integral part of the growth and development of MySpectrum Qualifications & Skills Must be licensed as an LPC or LCSW in the state of Virginia and eligible for credentialing with major insurance panels Experience with play therapy, family therapy, and child therapy practices, models, and methods of treatment Experience working with diverse populations Benefits and Perks Office hours available for you to create your schedule are 8:00 am‑8:00 pm Monday‑Thursday and 8:00 am‑7:00 pm on Fridays. Flexibility to work within these hours as you choose in order to fulfill your client / session hours. Teletherapy can be provided any day or time from your home or remote location.
