General Manager

Superfolie is wine bar located at 16th & Spruce in Center City and we are looking for a reliable front-of-house manager to join the team! Wine knowledge is a must. 

This candidate will fill an integral role within a very small FOH staff that carries a team mentality. We pride ourselves on providing creative opportunities within the family of brands (including 2 new projects in development now), flexible scheduling, paid time off, health stipend and close working relationship with the owner related to business initiatives and creative. There is a daily focus on wine education, complimented by an exciting menu of modern cocktails and seasonal dishes. Expect high energy, fast paced service, bustling happy hours, chef pop-ups, wine parties, private events & wine maker events. 

Superfolie is a jewel box wine bar established in 2023 and owned by the restauranteurs behind Superette (East Passyunk 2025), Good King Tavern & Le Caveau (Bella Vista, 2013 & 2019). The concept has received recognition from Esquire (best bars in America 2023), Philly Mag (Best of Philly: Post Work Drinking Destination 2023 & Best Martini 2024, 50 Best Restaurants 2024), Eater (Essential Restaurants of Rittenhouse), Star Chefs (Rising Star Restaurateur 2024), Wine Spectator (Award of Excellence 2025 & 2026).

More Job Details: 
- Administrative tasks including menu, inventory & POS management, payroll, scheduling & event coordination
- Leading floor operations, guest relations, cultivating a positive environment for both staff & guests
- Oversight of physical space maintenance, in service support, BOH liaison, dry goods and beverage purchasing
- Maintain relationships with all key 3rd party partners
- This role is flexible in terms of week to week duties, compensation and role as the brand is expanding with short term growth opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Front-of-House Management / hospitality leadership experience
• Strong wine knowledge is a must, with a comfort level in ordering in PA, curating a wine list and educating staff. 
• A passion for wine, food, hospitality and an interest in French dining culture. 
• Strong work ethic with an innate ability to execute a versatile role, multitasking within a small space and self-motivation.
• An eagerness to learn, great tableside demeanor and positive vibes!
• RAMP Certification
