Human Resources Intern Employer: Vantage Plastics Location: Bay City, Michigan (primary work location to be confirmed) Employment Type: Part-Time Schedule: 20--25 hours per week ### Position Summary Vantage Plastics is seeking a part-time Human Resources Intern to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department while gaining hands-on experience in HR operations. The Human Resources Intern will assist with employee onboarding, HR information systems, personnel records, orientation preparation, and various administrative functions supporting daily HR activities. This opportunity provides practical experience in human resources administration, employee documentation, HR technology systems, and workplace communication. ### Duties and Responsibilities Employee Onboarding and Orientation - Assist with new hire paperwork and onboarding documentation. - Greet new employees arriving for orientation at the Bay City facility. - Assist with Lotis orientation sessions. - Prepare orientation packets and training materials. - Print graduation and training certificates. - Coordinate lunch orders for orientations, meetings, and training sessions. HR Systems and Employee Records - Enter employee information into Paycor, Plex, and Talent LMS. - Scan, organize, and electronically file Human Resources records. - Take employee photographs and upload them into Paycor. - Maintain organized and confidential employee personnel files. - Maintain employee call-in log information. HR Administrative Support - Assist with answering department phone calls. - Generate monthly employee evaluation and Sandlot letter lists. - Prepare and distribute Sandlot letters through Paycor. - Provide administrative assistance with HR projects and departmental activities. - Perform additional duties as assigned. ### Required Qualifications - Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee information. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. - Willingness to learn new systems and procedures. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. ### Position Details This is a part-time internship requiring approximately 20--25 hours per week. The position provides hands-on experience with HR administration, onboarding procedures, employee records, and HR technology platforms, including Paycor, Plex, and Talent LMS.
