Cardiovascular Key Account Manager, Cleveland, OH

Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager for the Cleveland area to develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned health systems. This sales leadership role involves managing complex relationships with hospital stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving utilization of Amgen's cardiovascular products while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned to cardiovascular strategy and institutional needs
- Serve as strategic lead engaging priority providers and opinion leaders across cardiology, pharmacy, and P&T committees
- Lead implementation initiatives to ensure product availability and sustainable utilization across inpatient and ambulatory settings
- Coordinate with field teams, reimbursement specialists, and home office to support product access and pull-through
- Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and provide field intelligence to business analytics and brand teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years sales or account management experience, or Master's with 4+ years, or Doctorate with 2+ years
- 3+ years account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Cardiology experience including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes highly preferred
- Knowledge of hospital committee structures, P&T processes, reimbursement, and CMS policies
- Understanding of healthcare decision-making dynamics, payor systems, and treatment protocols
- Advanced degree (MPH, MBA, PharmD) and 7+ years healthcare sales experience preferred
