Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and some holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care/progressive care unit setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• ACLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care experience within the last three years in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills including pediatric telemetry competency
