Production Assistants are reliable and able to work with attention to detail and within safety standards. The individual in this position should have a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with coworkers. The goal in this position is to ensure production procedures are carried out safely to maximize efficiency and profits.Responsibilities and Duties:Safely operate and maintain various machines in a production environment under the guidance of an Operator.The ability to be a back-up for the Operator in case of an absence or scheduled day off.As a Production Assistant you will work with slitters, roll formers, unwind stations, as well as set up, operate, and maintain equipment as needed.Operate and maintain various forklifts and other equipment.Perform in progress inspections and post job inspections of your product, as directed by management.Strictly adhere to client job specifications.Meet or exceed quality assurance and safety standards.Accurately complete all paperwork needed to ensure job production information is documented.Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers etc.Work in a high volume fast paced environment.Reliability and willingness to work 60 hours per week to meet deadlines.Must be able to lift 50- 75 lbs.Other duties as required/needed.Preferred Skills and Experience:Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.Minimum six months' experience in a manufacturing environment.2nd Shift- 7 PM- 7 AMMonday - Friday (60hrs)Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA).Company-paid basic life insurance, AD&D, Short and Long-Term Disability.401(k) with company match for eligible associates.Gym reimbursement.Employee Wellness Program.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Zero Accident Culture (ZAC).Paid holidays and vacation.Reporting Relationships:Reports to Production Team LeaderSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneEffort & Working Conditions: Normal work environment allows the associate to work and move about freely of the workstation. There may be some need to lift moderately heavy articles. The physical environment is clean and climate-controlled within a partitioned workstation. There is frequent involvement in the manufacturing environment. Sensory attention is required to do keyboarding and ensure product quality.
