Position Summary :

The Value Stream Manager plans, develops, and leads a team within the Republic Elite manufacturing business to excel in the areas of safety, quality, and customer deliveries. The Value Stream Manager is accountable for developing and installing consistent assembly and material flow processes within their areas of responsibility. The processes and workflows will drive very high levels of safety, quality yields, and deliveries based upon customer order dates.

Leading the day-to-day activities within the value stream to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.

Drive improvement in processes through Kaizen events that lead to improved performance.

Manage risks and resolve issues that affect safety, quality, production, and delivery.

Developing metrics to measure performance and creating action plans to improve processes over time.

Measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as waste reduction, cycle time reductions, and cost savings.

Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams and locations throughout the value stream.

Communicating with all levels of staff within the company (including executives) to keep them informed about project status and progress.

Developing standard operating procedures for all activities within the value stream in order to standardize processes across departments.

Determine career plan for each departmental employee based on capability.

Establish annual personnel goals and objectives.

Lead an environment driven to achieve business results.

Establish a training and certification process for each job on the team.

Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and ownership.

Qualifications - Required:

Degree in Business or Engineering or minimum of 10 years of experience in an equivalent or high position.

Experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma.

Experience in delivering performance management feedback.

Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement activities.

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Proficient in basic and applied mathematics including statistical analysis, cost calculations, and data interpretation. Able to read and apply production data and graphs.

Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively apply MS Excel and other analysis tools to real-world problem-solving.

Qualifications - Preferred:

Knowledge or background in carpentry, cabinet installation, residential remodeling, or general contracting.

Familiarity with automation, robotics, IoT (Internet of Things), or digital twin technology within a production environment.

Knowledge of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning), warehousing strategies, and freight/distribution optimization.

Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Physical Requirements :

The work environment is split between a climate-controlled office utilizing computers or software systems and an active, high-volume cabinet manufacturing floor. On the production floor, the employee is regularly exposed to airborne wood dust, finishing chemistry, industrial adhesives, and elevated noise levels from woodworking machinery near moving mechanical parts and heavy materials. This dynamic plant environment necessitates the unwavering and consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)-including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection-throughout the entirety of the shift when outside the office area.

Physically, the employee must be capable of standing and walking for the duration of their shift on the manufacturing floor to oversee production flow and lead team operations. The role requires the frequent use of hands to evaluate cabinet assemblies, audit hardware installation, and utilize precision inspection equipment, alongside the capability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and move cabinetry components weighing up to 40 lbs. during quality assessments or line support. Candidates must possess strong visual focus and color discrimination to inspect wood finishes, verify grain matching, and approve joint alignment against strict quality standards. Additionally, the employee must retain the capability to communicate clearly and exchange technical production instructions with team members and management within this loud manufacturing environment.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
