Overview Mobile Trailer Mechanic Location: Manchester Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour DOE Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift Weekend Rota: Saturday & Sunday mornings on a rota basis (approximately 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends) – paid in addition to standard salary. About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mobile Trailer Mechanic to join the team in Manchester. This is primarily a trailer-focused role, with approximately 99% of work carried out on trailers and occasional light truck maintenance. The successful candidate will work both on customer sites and within the company workshop, providing high-quality maintenance, inspection and repair services. Key Responsibilities Inspection, servicing and repair of commercial trailers Maintenance and repair of double-deck trailers Tail lift inspections, maintenance and repairs Routine diagnostics and fault finding Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety regulations Attending customer sites across the region as required Completing relevant paperwork and service documentation What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Trailer Mechanic, HGV Technician or similar role Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and manage mobile service work Good communication and customer service skills Full UK driving licence Must have the right to work in the UK Training & Development IRTEC Accreditation LOLER Training HGV Licence Training What's on Offer Up to £21.00 per hour, depending on experience Monday to Friday day shifts Additional pay for weekend rota mornings Company van provided Fuel card provided Company-supported training and qualifications Varied role working both onsite and in the workshop Stable, permanent employment with a growing business #J-18808-Ljbffr Venatu Recruitment Group
