About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their mission-driven organization. The CFO will be a key strategic partner, providing vision, leadership, and oversight for all financial operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring sound financial planning, compliance, and sustainability across a diverse and rapidly growing portfolio of programs and funding sources. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term financial strategies, providing guidance on fiscal policy and capital planning, and leading a large finance and accounting team. Key tasks include preparing and supervising various financial reports, analyzing financial statements, and maintaining strong internal control systems. The CFO will also be expected to interface with government officials, bankers, and auditors, and to represent the organization at various events. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a CPA, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in finance leadership roles within the nonprofit, healthcare, or human services sectors. The role requires a deep knowledge of Medicaid and familiarity with state agencies, as well as a proven track record of managing large budgets and finance teams. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to think strategically in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Proficiency in accounting software and a background in strategic planning and hands-on financial operations are essential. A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach, along with a collaborative mindset, is also necessary for this executive-level position.
