Position Summary:

The Neonatal Physician Assistant is responsible for delivering healthcare services to neonates, infants, and children up to one year old. This role focuses on providing care for critically ill premature and full-term infants, emphasizing family-centered and culturally sensitive approaches. Working closely with the Neonatologist, the Physician Assistant will manage and assess patients across varying levels of acuity on a daily basis.

This position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless continuum of primary, acute, and subspecialty healthcare for patients.

The Physician Assistant will enhance care quality through education and clinical practice, leveraging advanced knowledge and research.

Salary Information:

Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually

This range represents the expected annual salary for this role if employed in New Jersey. The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

General Qualifications:

• Current CDS and DEA certifications
• Valid NRP and BLS certifications

Specific Requirements for PA:

• Active PA License
• Experience in PICU procedures or NICU as an Advanced Practice Provider
• NCCPA certification

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time Position
• 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts: day/night/weekends/holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
• Develop and execute treatment plans in partnership with the healthcare team.
• Carry out necessary medical procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Effectively communicate treatment plans and health education to patients and their families.
• Stay updated on medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
• Participate in research or quality improvement initiatives as required.
