Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Greensboro, NC | Emergency Department (Adult/Pedi Combined, Non-Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekend and holiday availability required (minimum 8 weekends per contract) | Floating to other campuses as needed | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma emergency department setting
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV placement, and blood product administration
• Manage central lines and administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Support ventilated patients and perform CPAP/BiPAP management and interpretation of ABGs
• Float to other campus locations as needed per facility requirements
• Complete unit-based compliance modules during orientation (non-billable, approximately 2–4 hours)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Education verification through a third-party provider required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with procedural sedation and management of ventilated patients
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency environment with a 1:5 patient ratio
