Get a sneak peek into life at ADESA!/ph3Role and Team/h3pReporting to the Transportation Manager, Lot Manager or designated manager, operate motor vehicles on and off auction premises in support of auction activities. Transports and directs Drivers to move, stage and park vehicles in the correct lot area. Perform all other duties assigned by designated manager. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times./ph3Responsibilities/h3pProvide excellent customer service:/pulliEnsure prompt, efficient and courteous service for all contacts and transactions./liliDemonstrate friendliness and proper etiquette with every customer./liliMaintain a professional appearance and work area consistent with the Handbook./liliHandle all aspects of customer complaints or disputes by resolving in a friendly, courteous manner. Advise the designated manager of all complaints or incidences./li/ulpOperate motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner:/pulliAlways operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious and courteous driving habits./liliImmediately report to the designated manager all mechanical problems experienced whether on or off the job./liliImmediately report to the supervisor or designated manager anything that occurs which may potentially jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle./liliAll driving related incidents to include traffic citations, warnings and accidents./li/ulpMaintain and assure good operating condition of all equipment and facilities./ppMaintain work area and conditions to ensure safe environment for all employees and customers. Respond to and follow proper company policy procedures involving accidents (customer or employee), injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to designated manager or supervisor immediately./ph3Other Responsibilities/h3ulliMaintain and assure good operating condition of all equipment and facilities. Advise designated manager of all breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately./liliPractice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good example of attitude and performance/liliPractice and promote company Core Values./li/ulh3Transportation Lead Van Driver Specific Responsibilities and Skills/h3ulliTransport Auction Drivers on and off auction premises for transport, pickup and delivery in support of auction activities./liliAssign Auction Drivers to a lot area on or off property to move, stage and park vehicles./liliInstruct Auction Drivers on positioning of vehicles as assigned by the designated manager./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliMust be at least eighteen (18) years of age./liliMust be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid drivers license./liliPrevious auto auction experience is preferred./liliAbility to work in all weather conditions is required./liliMust have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English./liliAbility to read English and/or comprehend motor vehicle traffic signs required./liliMust be insured and/or insurable if required by the state./liliMust have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools./liliMust submit to and pass controlled substance investigation and testing in accordance with company policy.
