Administrative Assistant
The primary function of an administrative assistant is to provide support to the office at a GMS location.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Payroll team with Prevailing Wage compliance and reporting duties.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, email, and mail requests.
- Prepare and receive items for shipping via Fed Ex, UPS, and standard mail daily.
- Deliver, process, and respond to mail.
- Assist with customer inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
- Assist Office Manager and/or Branch Manager with day-to-day responsibilities regarding customer orders, invoices, office supplies and maintenance.
- Scan, copy, and organize documents and files.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, including employee data and financial records.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be bilingual in English & Spanish
- Able to work on Saturday
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of administration/management practices and equipment.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 70% of the time. Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
- Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Required Cognitive Skills
- Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be able to receive and analyze information.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $22.50 to $28.65 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
