Position Details Job Title: Senior Paralegal (USAO) Job Category: Service Contract Act Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: DOJ MBI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity CACI is looking for a Senior Paralegal to support the US Attorney’s Office (USAO) mission. The role involves high-profile cases with litigation support and trial preparation. Candidates will also have opportunities to handle complex responsibilities and grow their eDiscovery skills. Responsibilities Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor. Develops work products with minimal direct supervision; products are reviewed prior to submission. Compiles, prepares, and summarizes materials for attorneys in discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents; summarizes depositions and transcripts; maintains case files; performs moderately complex legal research; synopsizes hearing transcripts; identifies conflicting statements; drafts legal memoranda and correspondence; indexes, tracks, and controls document discovery; tracks exhibits. Prepares exhibit cross‑references. Assists attorneys in courtroom. Reviews documents for relevance and privilege per guidelines and criteria. Other work includes compiling documents for FOIA, production requests, congressional inquiries, etc. Qualifications Paralegal certificate, JD, or current ABA‑accredited law student with at least one year of study, or equivalent legal training/experience; or equivalent education may be substituted. At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, including 1 year of automated litigation support. Sound knowledge of the federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient with legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw; computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems—including Relativity, Excel, JEFS/Box.com, Word, Zoom, Teams, PowerPoint, and social media tools. Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources. Consistently delivers high‑quality work under pressure; advanced Excel skills. Professional, can‑do, customer‑service attitude. US citizenship required; DOJ MBI obtainable. Pay Range Minimum required hourly wage: $31.00. Final salary depends on location, experience, skills, education and certifications.
