Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist - RRTWe are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and certifications to provide exceptional care within a fast-paced environment.Required Skills and Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy.Experience in Emergency Room (ER), Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), and ICU/Stepdown settings.Proficiency in Respiratory Care procedures, including but not limited to: Airway managementMedication administrationVentilator managementABG samplingOxygen therapySuctioning techniquesPulmonary toiletingNebulization therapyBiPAP and CPAP managementVest therapy and Meta-neb proceduresHeated high-flow therapyEPIC Experience is mandatory.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.Valid North Carolina license and RRT credentials.Preferred Skills:Experience with bronchoscopes.Certification in NRP is a plus.Note: The unit does not accept CRT credentials.Job Details:Patient Ratios: 35-45 patients per day.Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.RTO: A maximum of 7 days is allowed for requests.Call Requirement: On-call may be needed based on workload.Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts within a 6-week timeframe.Patient Population:The Respiratory Care department serves a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. Therapists will collaborate on Med/Surg and ICU step-down units and may occasionally provide care in the Emergency Department.Special Equipment:Servo I and Servo U ventilatorsHamilton T1 and V60 ventilatorsNight-time VPAP devicesOmni-labs and V30sABL90 ABG machineUnit Systems:All Respiratory Therapists are required to have experience with EPIC systems.Unit Orientation:Orientation will be conducted over several days, transitioning from day shifts (7a - 7p) to night shifts (7p - 7a).Uniform Requirements:All staff are required to wear black scrubs.
