Overview Plans, administers, and manages strength and conditioning programs for the University’s varsity intercollegiate teams in conjunction with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The role includes designing and implementing training programs to enhance athletic performance, addressing the specific needs of assigned teams, and ensuring safe and effective workouts. The position collaborates with the Director of Sports Performance and other coaching staff to align programs with overall team strategies, and involves managing daily operations, maintaining equipment, and providing guidance on injury prevention and recovery. Skills & Abilities Proven organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail. Principal Responsibilities Design year‑long strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams, including pre‑season, in‑season, post‑season, and off‑season cycles. Assist in scheduling, managing, and maintaining three varsity weight rooms. Test and evaluate student athletes to track program progress. Meet regularly with coaches and athletic trainers to keep updated on student athletes’ status. Supervise and train student employees. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, or a related field and at least two years of experience in collegiate strength and conditioning working in a multi‑sport environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). Certified First Aid/CPR.
