** Insurance Defense Attorney — Full Time **

** Join a Dynamic Litigation Defense Practice **

A dynamic, mid-sized litigation firm specializing in premises liability, motor vehicle, and construction litigation is seeking a full-time Insurance Defense Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.

Our firm represents insureds and self-insured clients in a wide range of bodily injury and property damage claims, providing attorneys with the opportunity to handle diverse and challenging matters from inception through resolution.

Position Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is an independent, motivated self-starter who is comfortable handling all aspects of litigation, including:

• Drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Managing written discovery and document review
• Evaluating liability, damages, and exposure
• Communicating with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Developing litigation and settlement strategies
• Preparing matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Handling cases from pleadings through trial, with trial experience preferred but not required

Our clients range from individual homeowners and property owners to major corporations, as well as various major insurance carriers and self-insured companies. Because of the breadth of our practice, this position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of litigation matters involving different industries, factual circumstances, and levels of exposure.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the applicable state bar(s) in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
• Experience in insurance defense, premises liability, motor vehicle, construction, or personal injury litigation preferred
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
