What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit platforms public areas parking locations and perimeter access points with work environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points screen for unauthorized activity and help to deter prohibited behavior while maintaining a professional presence and following post orders.
• Support law enforcement transit personnel and/or first responders during emergencies service disruptions and investigations while following Allied Universal protocols and client-directed procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 3 years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Have 3 years as a military police officer corrections officer or armed security-related professional or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
