What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures government location policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an armed post assignment.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings grounds entry points and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and verify identification credentials and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards site requirements and applicable laws while maintaining professionalism during public interactions and routine patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
