This is an opportunity to take ownership, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and expand your category management capabilities within a dynamic global organization.Position Summary:The Procurement Category Leader – NA Ingredients supports the sourcing and category management of Vanilla, Dairy, Egg, and other strategic ingredient categories. This position is responsible for executing category strategies, managing supplier performance, supporting supply assurance, identifying cost and market opportunities, and enabling innovation and growth. The role works closely with Procurement leadership and cross-functional partners while providing an opportunity to develop broader category management expertise and take on increasing levels of responsibility.Job Responsibilities:Execute category and sourcing strategies for Vanilla, Dairy, Egg, and other assigned ingredient categoriesManage day-to-day supplier relationships and supplier performanceSupport supply assurance through supplier diversification, qualification, onboarding, and risk mitigationDevelop and implement sourcing initiatives that improve cost competitiveness, resiliency, and business continuityAnalyze market trends, supplier capabilities, pricing, and supply risksIdentify cost savings, cost avoidance, supply improvement, and sourcing opportunitiesSupport supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and implementation activitiesManage supplier engagement supporting innovation, commercialization, and new product developmentCoordinate ingredient samples, supplier qualification activities, and sourcing requirements for new product launchesPartner with Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Product DevelopmentProvide procurement, supplier, and market updates supporting S&OP and business planningTrack category performance, supplier metrics, savings, and other procurement KPIsDevelop category expertise and market intelligence to support strategic decision-makingIdentify opportunities to expand ADM's supplier base and sourcing capabilitiesSupport continuous improvement of procurement processes and workflowsRequired Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supplier relationship management and negotiation skillsAbility to analyze pricing, market trends, supplier performance, and supply riskAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skillsAbility to independently drive projects and follow through on commitmentsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis toolsWorking knowledge of ERP and procurement systemsAbility to develop market knowledge and category expertiseEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.Required Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supply chain, or a related fieldExperience managing suppliers and supporting commercial or sourcing activitiesExperience working cross-functionally to execute business initiativesExperience using data and market information to support business decisionsTravel up to 20%, some international travel may be required.Desired Experience:Experience within the food, beverage, flavors, or ingredient industryExperience supporting Vanilla, Dairy, Egg, or similar food ingredient categoriesExperience with strategic sourcing and category managementExperience with Power BI, ERP systems, and procurement analytics toolsExperience supporting new product development, commercialization, or innovation initiativesDemonstrated interest and capability to grow into broader category management and leadership responsibilitiesExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed? REF:111908BRBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
