Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping Lead, Raw Materials - 1st shift at our new facility on Innovation Loop in Youngsville, NC. The pay rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. Core hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm.

What You'll Do:

Position Overview: The Shipping Team Lead is responsible for coordinating workflow, leading a team of shipping associates, ensuring on-time customer deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to operational excellence and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
• Coordinate work assignments and staffing to meet productivity and service goals.
• Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and training to shipping associates.
• Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet changing business demands.
• Ensure compliance with Eaton safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Conduct regular safety observations and promote a culture of safe work practices.
• Partner with supervisors and other department leaders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and system transactions.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory issues, and customer service concerns.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, on-time shipping, and safety metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other operational excellence methodologies.
• Participate in employee performance discussions and recognition activities.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

Minimum of 1 year of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.

Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or RF scanning technology.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

Experience in a high-volume distribution center.

Forklift certification or ability to become certified.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Distribution, or Continuous Improvement principles.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.

Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
