Role Summary The Early Childhood Music & Movement Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year plays a key role in supporting young children’s development through music, movement, and creative expression. This role leads engaging, developmentally appropriate sessions that build rhythm, coordination, body awareness, and confidence, while fostering a joy for movement and music. The Music & Movement program supports children’s overall development and connects, when appropriate, to classroom learning experiences. Key Responsibilities Leading engaging, developmentally appropriate Music & Movement sessions for PK2, PK3, and PK4 students Designing experiences that support rhythm, coordination, spatial awareness, and gross motor development Creating a joyful, inclusive environment that encourages participation, expression, and confidence Modeling movement, musicality, and expressive language throughout sessions Collaborating with Music, PSPE, and classroom teachers to ensure alignment with broader learning goals Observing and documenting children’s participation and development to inform planning Maintaining an organized, safe, and engaging learning space Participating in meetings and contributing to the broader school community Upholding school routines, expectations, and values If you are passionate about early childhood education and children’s growth in a bilingual, international setting, we encourage you to apply. Qualifications Required: Fluency in spoken and written English Experience working with young children (ages 2–5 preferred) Strong understanding of early childhood development, particularly in movement, coordination, and creative expression Ability to design and lead engaging, age-appropriate group experiences Bachelor’s degree in Education, Music, Movement, Physical Education, or a related field Authorization to work in the United States Preferred: Experience in early childhood music, dance, or movement programs Experience working in international or bilingual school settings #J-18808-Ljbffr National Association of Independent Schools
