Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer51905 HROC LLC, part of Heidelberg Materials North America, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations for cement, aggregates, and ready-mixed concrete. In this role, you will develop and oversee quality control procedures, perform data-driven analysis, and lead root cause investigations to ensure products meet safety, environmental, and performance standards. You will partner with operations, engineering, and logistics teams to drive continuous improvement, support low carbon and sustainable product initiatives, and help deliver reliable materials for major construction and infrastructure projects.ResponsibilitiesEnsure product quality across cement, aggregates, and concrete manufacturing processesDevelop, implement, and audit quality control procedures and standardsLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process nonconformancesUse statistical process control and data analysis to monitor and improve performanceCollaborate with operations, engineering, and logistics to drive continuous improvementSupport compliance with safety, environmental, and industry quality standards (e.g., ISO)Prepare quality reports, KPIs, and documentation for internal and external stakeholdersTrain plant and operations staff on quality procedures and best practicesParticipate in customer issue investigations and support technical resolutionsContribute to innovation and sustainability initiatives in low carbon materialsRequired SkillsQuality engineeringStatistical Process Control (SPC)Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone)Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Data analysis and reporting (Excel, statistical tools)ISO 9001 or related QMS implementationProcess improvement and Lean/Six Sigma methodsMaterials testing for cement/concrete/aggregatesTechnical documentation and reportingCross-functional collaboration in manufacturing plants
