MACHINIST ASSEMBLER

Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer in electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies, celebrating over 75 years of outstanding engineering and design. We have an immediate job opening for a MACHINIST ASSEMBLER at our corporate office location in Northbrook, IL. Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm.

Job Summary

We need a detail-focused Machinist Assembler to build precision mechanical parts and assemble them into finished products. You will set up manual or CNC machines, inspect your work with precision tools, and assemble components to exact blueprint specifications

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate machines like lathes, mills, and grinders to cut and shape metal parts.
Precision Assembly: Fit, align, and join machined components using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical fasteners.
Quality Inspection: Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions against blueprints.
Troubleshooting: Adjust machine feeds, speeds, or part dimensions when fit or function does not meet standards.
Maintenance & Safety: Keep work areas clean, perform basic machine upkeep, and follow all safety protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Previous manufacturing, machine operating, or mechanical assembly experience.
Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Measuring Tools: Skill in using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Ability: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
