About the Role:

The Direct Care Worker plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities due to physical, developmental, or emotional challenges. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified Direct Care Worker training program or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet state-specific certification or licensing requirements.
• Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in healthcare, social assistance, or related fields.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide mobility support including transferring, positioning, and ambulation assistance to ensure client safety.
• Monitor and document clients’ physical and emotional conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare supervisors promptly.
• Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities to promote engagement and independence.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering strictly to protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Build trusting relationships with clients by demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect in all interactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to update care plans and ensure continuity of care.
