This position can be located in Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL. The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) – Finance Controller will be responsible for commercial aspects related to projects—from the sales phase through execution to project completion. Responsibilities encompass proposal management, project performance measurement, planning, forecasting, and reporting. The CPM partners with Sales and the Project Manager during the project life cycle and interacts with Customers, Suppliers, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, other Commercial Project Managers, regional and national Finance colleagues, internal and external Auditors and other stakeholders. Manage the project throughout the Project Life Cycle Oversee bid preparation and approval process (Limits of Authority), review, evaluate and negotiate contractual terms with Legal support, and ensure conformance during project execution Act as a commercial project entrepreneur during the execution phase from order intake to warranty Partner with the Project Manager to identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies Prepare and present commercial topics in project meetings and escalated issues when necessary Manage customer requirements and stakeholder expectations with the Project Manager Secure project targets by enforcing strict contract and claim management Ensure compliance with standards, rules and regulations, including IFRS, US GAAP, tax regulations, EHS, ICFR/RIC, etc. Partner to manage financial results: gross profit, cash flow, minimizing non‑conformance costs Perform budgeting, forecasting, cost control, cash flow reconciliation and deviation analysis; maintain accurate project books in SAP Ensure timely invoicing, manage receivables and maximize cash flow Coordinate procurement to secure best bids within budget and contractual compliance Manage financial guarantees, bonds and insurance requirements Qualifications Minimum Education Required: Bachelors 3+ years of experience in commercial project controlling/management in construction projects View email address on click.appcast.io – CPM certificate or equivalent Travel 10–20 % Demonstrated initiative and adaptability Excellent written and verbal communication in English Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in business administration Resilience in managing complex projects Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Pay range: $91,086 – $123,318 with annual incentive.
