12 Month Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing preventative, routine and emergency repairs on all maintenance and groundskeeping equipment.

Qualifications:

• Requires 2 to 5 years of job-related prior experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Requires a Commercial Driver's license, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
• Requires completion of Asbestos Awareness Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative, routine and emergency repairs on trucks, tractors, trailers, floats, lawn and snow equipment.
• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on trash pumps, chain saws, asphalt equipment, electric lifts, paint sprayers and generators.
• Maintains athletic and playground equipment.
• Performs body work, tire repair, some engine and suspension work and electrical and hydraulic system repair on trucks.
• Troubleshoots and analyzes repairs needed to the blades and hydraulic pumps on snow plows, snow blowers and salt spreaders.
• Purchases and maintains inventory parts needed for repairs.
• Documents work orders and maintains files.
• Evaluates the condition of equipment and recommends solutions for repairing.
• Performs light fabrication.
• Assists other maintenance department personnel as needed.
• Serves as a substitute custodian as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

COMPENSATION FOR EXPERIENCE IS CONSIDERED, 2026-2027 Classified Salary Schedule
