We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A and B Driver with Tanker/Hazmat Endorsement and Laborers to join our growing team. This position involves operating vacuum trucks and tankers on local routes, supporting industrial cleaning projects, waste recovery operations, and transportation of non-hazardous and regulated materials. Drivers are home daily and work closely with field crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Position Summary

The Class A / B Driver / Vacuum Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating vacuum trucks and tanker equipment while servicing industrial facilities throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in industrial environments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A or B vacuum trucks and tanker vehicles
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Transport industrial liquids, wastewater, sludge, and recovered materials
• Assist with industrial cleaning projects, tank cleanings, and pipeline maintenance
• Operate vacuum pumps, hoses, valves, and related equipment
• Complete driver logs, manifests, work orders, and DOT documentation
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers
• Secure loads and verify proper transportation procedures
• Participate in emergency response and environmental cleanup projects when needed
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer relationships
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly
• Assist field crews with job site setup and cleanup activities

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Tanker Endorsement (N) required
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
• Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Vacuum truck experience
• Industrial cleaning experience
• Environmental services experience
• Hazmat Endorsement (preferred but not required)
• Confined Space Entry experience
• High-pressure water blasting experience
• TWIC Card
• Experience working in refineries, manufacturing plants, chemical facilities, or industrial environments

Certifications & Training

The following certifications are highly desirable:

• OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hour
• Confined Space Entry
• First Aid / CPR Certification
• TWIC Card
• DOT Compliance Training
• Hazardous Materials Awareness Training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and access elevated work areas
• Ability to work around industrial equipment and machinery
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing
• Ability to wear respirators, safety harnesses, and PPE as required
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or emergency response assignments when necessary
