This role will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of policies, procedures, and standard work that support the Behavioral Health Department's strategic initiatives and ability to improve patient flow and proactive capacity management across the M Health Fairview care system. The position oversees the daily operations of the Mental Health Admission Specialist team. The Mental Health Admission Specialist Supervisor must have a strong administrative background to support and lead Mental Health Admission Specialist team members while maintaining continuous situational awareness of system inpatient behavioral units. This position will be a critical driver of administration standardization and integration in support of all external, inter-hospital, and intra-hospital transfers for new patient admissions, direct admissions, and transfers across the system. This includes reviewing system capacity and barriers to patient flow, utilizing an administration foundation to support assessment, problem-solving to drive patient flow and communication of barriers with the appropriate stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
