Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 pm-7:00 am)
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Weekly pay: $1,854-$1,940
Setting: Travel assignment in a rural, independent critical access hospital Med/Surg unit, caring for adult patients with occasional pediatric presentations

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult and occasional pediatric patients within a general Med/Surg unit, using the Nursing Process to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Performs comprehensive assessments, monitors patient status, administers medications and treatments, manages IV therapy, and responds promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Develop and update individualized care plans, discharge planning, and patient/family education; document accurately in the medical record
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences; ensure continuity of care across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care as needed
- Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

Requirements
- Active Vermont RN license or multi-state RN license
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience
- Preferred: Meditech experience
- Ability to work night shift in a 12-hour schedule; comfortable in a rural hospital setting
- Willingness to meet credentialing requirements and to receive the flu shot as a condition of assignment
