About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Pass/Fail exam during orientation. - Must receive a 90% to pass, or termination may occur. - Driver's license required for submission. - Prohibition of artificial nails in patient care areas. - Minimum of 1 year of experience required for charge roles. Description: The unit serves a diverse range of medical surgical patients. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. RNs will care for post-operative recovery patients and may float as needed within their scope of practice. Specific patient types and diagnoses, including oncology medical surgical overflow, are part of care responsibilities. Certification in BLS is mandatory. Charting is done through an electronic medical record system. This position requires a demonstrated commitment to patient safety and excellent care delivery. Candidates need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the dynamic needs of the unit. Professional development and continuing education are encouraged and supported.
