Registered Nurse, Care ManagerARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Care Manager in Sitka, Alaska.LocationSitka, AKAssignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/ShiftThe shift schedule will be discussed during the interview.Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (Care Manager) will manage patient progression of care, promote evidence-based protocols, ensure the appropriateness of interventions, and expedite care delivery for patients admitted. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to secure timely and appropriate patient discharges, reviewing patient records, and participating in interdisciplinary collaboration with professional staff.ResponsibilitiesReview patient records and evaluate patient progress.Monitor the necessity and appropriateness of hospitalization and length of stay.Provide utilization management (UM) functions for SEARHC beneficiary patients admitted to other facilities.Review and validate physician orders, reporting progress and unusual occurrences.Collaborate with clinical care teams to ensure adherence to the UM/CM/DCP plan.Assess new hospital admissions to develop personalized treatment plans.Communicate with patients and families about healthcare benefits and services.Maintain documentation to support UM functions and communicate with payers.Facilitate educational programs regarding regulations affecting UM/CM/DCP.Perform tumor registry functions for SEARHC.Required Experience8 years of clinical care or nursing experience, with 3 years in chart review, risk management, or related quality service.Certifications/LicensureBachelor's Degree in Nursing.Active nursing license in Alaska required.Case Management certification by recognized certifying organization (i.e., NCQA, CCMC) preferred.About ARMStaffingFounded in 2011 and a member of the ARGroup, LLC, ARMStaffing connects dedicated nurses and allied health professionals with the facilities that need them most.
